1. Overview and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Leon AI mobile applications and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

U.S. only. The Service is offered only in the United States.

Age. You must be 18 years or older to create an account or use the Service. We do not permit account creation by anyone under 18.

App stores. Your use of the Service obtained via the Apple App Store or Google Play also is subject to their applicable terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support.

Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., in‑app notice, email, or push). Your continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. What Leon Is (and Is Not)

Leon is a virtual home expert that provides general information, education, and organizational tools for homeowners about home systems, maintenance, and DIY tasks. Leon does not provide professional, licensed, or specialist advice and is not a replacement for qualified professionals. Results, recommendations, and content may be incorrect, incomplete, or not applicable to your situation.

No Professional Advice. The Service does not provide: (a) professional contracting, construction, electrical, plumbing, roofing, HVAC, structural, gas, asbestos/lead/mold, pest control, or other specialized trade services; (b) legal, medical, financial, insurance, safety‑critical, or emergency services advice; or (c) permitting/code‑compliance determinations. Always consult licensed professionals and local authorities where appropriate.

Emergencies. In an emergency (e.g., fire, gas leak, electrical shock, flooding), call 911 or appropriate authorities immediately. Do not rely on the Service for emergency help.

3. Safety Rules and High‑Risk Activities

You are solely responsible for your actions and safety. Many home tasks involve hazards, including tools, sharp edges, electricity, gas, heights/ladders, heavy lifting, chemicals, dust, confined spaces, water, and wildlife/pests. By using the Service, you acknowledge the inherent risks of home maintenance and improvement and agree to assume all risks arising from your activities.

Safety prerequisites. When applicable, Leon may remind you to follow baseline safety steps such as: powering off at the breaker; shutting off gas/water; wearing PPE; using fall protection and stable ladders; ventilating; calling 811 before digging; and hiring licensed contractors for high‑risk work. These reminders are not exhaustive and do not make your activity safe. You must conduct your own risk assessment and follow manufacturer instructions, safety standards, building codes, and professional guidance.

Release and waiver. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and discharge Leon AI, Inc. and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from any and all claims and liabilities, known and unknown, arising out of or related to your use of the Service or your activities in or around your home, including but not limited to injuries, property damage, and third‑party claims.

4. Contractor Introductions and Third Parties

From time to time, the Service may suggest, introduce, or link you to third‑party contractors, marketplaces, retailers, or products (collectively, "Third‑Party Services"). Leon does not employ, supervise, direct, control, or guarantee any contractors. Contractors are independent of Leon and are not our employees, partners, or agents. Leon is not a party to any contract you enter with a contractor or merchant and does not handle payments or refunds.

Leon does not endorse, warrant, or verify the licensing, insurance, identity, skills, pricing, or quality of any Third‑Party Services, and is not responsible for their acts, omissions, or services. Your interactions with Third‑Party Services are solely between you and those third parties and may be governed by their terms and policies.

Affiliate disclosure. Leon may include affiliate links (e.g., Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe’s). Leon may earn a commission if you purchase through these links. Prices, availability, shipping, and returns are controlled by the merchant.

5. Accounts and Security

You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@leonhome.app of any suspected unauthorized use.

We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms, fraud, abuse, or risk to others.

6. User Content and Feedback

Your Content. You may upload content, such as photos (e.g., product labels), text, chat inputs, notes, and other materials (collectively, "User Content"). You retain your ownership rights.

License to Leon. You grant Leon a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, translate, process, analyze, create derivative works from, publicly display and perform (as applicable), and otherwise use your User Content to operate, provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service; to develop new features; and for internal research and analytics. Where feasible, Leon will use de‑identified or aggregated forms of User Content for these purposes.

Feedback. If you provide feedback, ideas, or suggestions ("Feedback"), you grant Leon a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use and exploit the Feedback without obligation or compensation to you.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant the above licenses and that your User Content does not infringe others’ rights or violate law.

7. Privacy; Data Uses

Our collection and use of personal data are described in our Privacy Policy (provided separately and incorporated by reference). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described there.

Model and product improvement. Leon may use de‑identified, aggregated, or otherwise anonymized data—including excerpts of chats and photos—to improve algorithms and features that deliver user value (e.g., better troubleshooting paths, safety prompts, and maintenance schedules). Leon does not sell personal data and will not use data in a way that identifies you in public outputs.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for unlawful purposes; (b) attempt dangerous acts beyond your competency; (c) circumvent or disable safety features; (d) upload unlawful, infringing, misleading, or harmful content; (e) decompile, reverse engineer, or scrape the Service; (f) attempt to gain unauthorized access; or (g) use the Service to harass, spam, or violate others’ rights (including privacy and publicity).

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and all content therein (excluding Your Content) are owned by Leon and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you, Leon and its licensors reserve all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service.

License to you. Subject to these Terms, Leon grants you a limited, revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control for your personal, non‑commercial use in the U.S.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEON DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON‑INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

LEON DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR‑FREE, COMPLETE, TIMELY, SECURE, OR THAT ANY RESULTS OR RECOMMENDATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE OR SAFE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR HOME, CONDITIONS, OR SKILL LEVEL.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEON WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, THIRD‑PARTY SERVICES, OR YOUR ACTIVITIES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEON’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID (IF ANY) TO LEON FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, the foregoing limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Leon and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service or Third‑Party Services; (b) your activities in or around your home; (c) your User Content; or (d) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to email us at support@leonhome.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.

Arbitration. If we cannot resolve informally, you and Leon agree to resolve all disputes through binding, individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, as modified by these Terms.

Seat & venue. The arbitration will take place in Dallas County, Texas, or by telephone/video or on written submissions, at your election. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in Dallas County, Texas, or in your county of residence, instead of arbitration.

Class action waiver. You and Leon agree that each may bring claims only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding.

Opt‑out. You may opt out of arbitration and the class action waiver by sending a written notice to Leon AI, Inc., Attn: Legal – Arbitration Opt‑Out, 16817 Coit Rd. #1029, Dallas, TX 75248, or by email to support@leonhome.app, within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Your opt‑out will apply only to this account.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflicts of laws principles. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of the arbitration provision.

14. DMCA – Copyright Policy

If you believe content available via the Service infringes your copyright, please send a notice to our designated agent with the information required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3). Please send copyright notices only to this address. General support requests sent here will not receive a response.

We may remove content alleged to be infringing and terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

15. Term and Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or where required by law. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end, but Sections 3–4 and 6–17 will survive.

16. App Store Terms (Apple/Google)

To the extent permitted by applicable app store rules: (a) Leon, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the App and its content; (b) Apple/Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support; (c) to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple/Google have no warranty obligations; and (d) you represent that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. embargo or on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

17. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Leon regarding the Service.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them without restriction.

Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
